Dry composite composite film
Overview
Dry compounding is to apply the adhesive solution to the surface of the plastic substrate by various coating methods, then pass into the drying tunnel to volatilize the solvent of the adhesive, and form a uniform adhesive layer (about 1.5-5 um thick) without solvent on the surface of the film. It is made by compounding the composite device with the second substrate. In order to cure the adhesive, the film roll of the product is cured at a certain temperature for a certain period of time to obtain an appropriate bond strength.
The most important feature of dry recombination is that it can be arbitrarily selected by various coating methods, and the optimum coating method can be selected according to the characteristics of the coating film, the coating amount, the adhesive characteristics, and the film characteristics.
The characteristics of dry composite are as follows:
1) The surface of the substrate to be selected is quite wide, and it can be plastic/plastic, plastic/metal foil, plastic fabric, non-woven fabric, paper, etc. It is especially suitable for the production of a small variety of composite films.
2) The composite strength is high, and the composite strength of plastic/plastic can reach 1N/15mm, which can be adapted to high-grade flexible packaging materials such as commodity cooking bags with strict production conditions.
3) The compound speed is fast; generally up to 100mmin, up to 250 m/min.
4) Dry products can be surface printed (printed) or reverse printed (printed). When printing, the ink is sandwiched between two layers of film, it will not discolor, the hygiene is good, and the gloss after printing is good.
5) Adhesives used in dry compounding, there are residual adhesive unreacted monomers and solvents, but the selection of good adhesives and control of process conditions can meet hygienic standards.
6) The cost of producing composite films is relatively high, especially when high temperature inks and high temperature adhesives are used, so they are generally used for higher grade packaging.
7) There are environmental pollution caused by solvent volatilization, and there are problems in safe operation and industrial production sanitary conditions. Therefore, the equipment used must be matched, the operating conditions are strict, and necessary precautions are taken.
In addition, the dry composite film generally has a good stiffness, and the film for cooking is mostly produced by this method.
In addition to the solvent type, the adhesive used for dry compounding has also developed a water-soluble adhesive, a solventless adhesive, etc., and thus a similar composite process includes solventless dry compounding, wax compounding, and hot melt adhesive compounding.
