Basic method of printing plastic packaging film
There are three main printing methods for film: 1 letterpress printing; 2 gravure printing; 3 hole printing and screen printing.
(1) Letterpress printing The letterpress printing method is a printing method in which a protruding portion is inked.
(2) Gravure Printing Gravure printing is a printing method in which an ink fills a concave portion and then performs.
(3) stencil printing The representative of stencil printing is screen printing.
Flexographic printing is a way of letterpress printing, which used to be called flexographic printing. Aniline Printing, formerly known as Aniline Printing, has been named for its printing of volatile liquid inks using aniline dyes for nearly a hundred years. Due to improvements in printing technology equipment and processes, the ink structure has also changed. In fact, aniline dyes have not been used as the main component of the ink. The printed sheet is made of flexible sensitized synthetic rubber, so it is renamed Flexographic Printing, also known as letterpress printing.
The letterpress printing uses a photosensitive synthetic resin plate, which has a short plate making time. Under normal circumstances, it can be completed in 1 hour, and the plate loading, pressure regulating, and overprinting positions are simpler than the general printing process. When a reasonable printing pressure is used and the adaptability of the ink and the film is adjusted, a better printing quality can be obtained, so the letterpress printing develops rapidly.
Manufacturers of letterpress printing machines are beginning to sell color printing devices with microcomputer control or digital control. This machine has a higher speed and a lower scrap rate. In order to meet some new requirements, it is necessary to develop the necessary ink materials and their auxiliary materials.
The 4-color or 6-color letterpress printing machine is the world's main sales letterpress printing machine. Its biggest advantage is that it has excellent adjustment precision and does not require any electronic auxiliary device, which is the basis for maintaining stable printing quality.
Screen printing of 54 or 60 dots for printing. For printing polyethylene film, the printing speed can reach 250-300m/min. Some special line printers can achieve speeds of 500-600m during line printing or lithography. /min, up to 700m/min. In the United States, when using 34-point 4-color screen printing, the reject rate can be less than 1%.
The printing width is 350 to 2500 mm, the machine adjustment accuracy is usually 0.2 mm, and the printing material may be a 0.01 mm thick soft film or an aluminum foil of about 0.007 m.
Toppan printing has developed rapidly. The United States is the fastest growing country in letterpress printing, with more than 500 flexographic printing plants and nearly 2,000 flexographic printing presses. 70% of US packaging materials are printed with flexography. The total production of flexographic printing accounts for approximately 16% of the total printed value. China's aniline printing has more than 400 units since 1988, and has begun to take shape.
The printing of plastic packaging films is mainly based on gravure printing and letterpress printing, because both the gravure printing and the relief printing can change the color carrier of the ink depending on the type of the substrate, and it is also possible to print without long rolls.
