PEI material is an amorphous, high-performance engineering thermoplastic with a molecular structure that contains both aromatic amine functional groups and ether structures. The aromatic and imide rings endow it with rigid creep resistance and high-temperature stability, while the ether bonds give it the flexibility required for thermoplastic molding. This rigid structure provides a unique performance combination for this semi transparent (amber) material. PEI films made from PEI materials also inherit their excellent properties, such as:

1. Good thermal stability, glass transition temperature of 217 ℃, and long-term use temperature can reach 170 ℃;

2. Excellent dimensional stability, with a low and stable linear thermal expansion coefficient over a wide temperature range. Therefore, the environmental temperature has little effect on the size, and it does not deform when used at higher temperatures and under load, with low creep sensitivity;

3. Extremely excellent mechanical strength and modulus;

4. Outstanding electrical performance, able to maintain a basic constant over a wide temperature range (-40 ℃~150 ℃) and frequency range, with stable dielectric constant and dielectric loss;

PEI in the automotive industry is mainly used for manufacturing high-temperature connectors, transmission system components, throttle bodies, ignition components, thermostat housings, baffles, reflectors, lamp holders, electromechanical systems (such as fuses, gears, bearings, solenoid valve bodies, ignition switches, and oil pump drivers), etc. PEI can also be applied in automotive lighting systems such as headlight reflectors, fog light reflectors, baffles, and bulb sockets. In addition, PEI can also be used as a high-temperature resistant lubricant for vacuum pump impellers, non illuminating anti fog lamp reflectors, etc.

PEI materials have shown outstanding performance in the field of optical communication and are widely used in fiber optic connectors, optical transceiver modules, and optical components.

The natural flame retardant, low smoke, and non-toxic properties of PEI materials in the aerospace field can meet the stringent testing requirements of aerospace regulations and are widely used in various components of aircraft, such as air and fuel valves, food tray containers, steering wheels, internal coverings, and various structural components.

PEI materials in the field of electronic appliances can be used to manufacture high-strength and dimensionally stable connectors, ordinary and micro relay housings, circuit boards, coils, flexible circuits, reflectors, high-precision dense fiber optic components, electrical switches and control devices, motor parts, connectors, and molded interconnect devices. Replacing metal with fiber optic connectors can optimize component structure and reduce costs.

PEI materials in the field of medical devices are suitable for disposable or reusable medical devices, such as surgical instruments, medical equipment components, and medical monitor probe housings.

The PEI material for animal experimental cages can withstand more than 250 cycles of high temperature and high pressure steam sterilization at 134 º C, and is suitable for Gamma ray, EtO (ethylene oxide), and steam sterilization. It has FDA food grade certification and has good chemical resistance to lipid solvents, detergents, and disinfectants, which can give the product a longer service life.
