2.2.7 Filled polypropylene
Polypropylene filling refers to mixing polypropylene resin with a certain proportion of fillers (such as calcium carbonate, talcum powder, asbestos, mica and wood powder) and some necessary additives, mixing and mixing evenly, mixing and plasticizing with an extruder, and then extruding for granulation. The performance of filled polypropylene is related to the content of filler, the performance of filler, the type, particle size, shape of filler, and the dispersion state and uniformity in polypropylene resin. The properties of filled polypropylene are usually characterized by good heat resistance, low shrinkage of molded products, good dimensional stability and high hardness. If the amount of filler is relatively high, the properties (such as heat resistance, cold resistance, mechanical properties and processability) of this kind of filled polypropylene are better than those of pure polypropylene resin molded products; However, the gloss, toughness and elongation at break of the products are obviously reduced.

Filled polypropylene can be molded by injection molding, blow molding and foaming. Asbestos filled (asbestos accounts for 40%) polypropylene can be injection molded into automobile structural parts, washing machine parts and blades on the engine. It has good rigidity under 140 ℃ high temperature environment, stable structural dimensions and good durability.
2.2.8 Halogen free low smoke polypropylene
Polypropylene resin is mixed with magnesium hydroxide, lubricant, antioxidant and some auxiliary additives that have been treated with the treatment agent according to a certain proportion. After the mixture is even, it is mixed with an extruder for plasticization, and then extruded for granulation, that is, halogen-free low smoke polypropylene.Halogen free low smoke polypropylene products have good mechanical properties, and the flame retardancy reaches FV-0 level. This material is mainly used in wire and cable, electronic and electrical industry to manufacture various internal parts and protective equipment and decorative plywood in the welding of electronic components.
