1. Suggestions on Product Specifications
1. Thickness: The range of 2mm - 4mm is the most common and cost-effective choice.
◦ 2mm: Economical type, suitable for short-term enclosures and light protection.
◦ 3mm - 4mm: Standard type, which achieves the best balance between strength, durability and cost, and is the choice for most landscape engineering projects.

2. Requirements for Hollow Sheet Production Line
• Extruder: A 65-type or 80-type extruder is fully sufficient. The screw diameter of the 65-type extruder is approximately 65mm, and that of the 80-type is about 80mm. The 80-type extruder has a relatively higher output.
• Mold: Select the mold according to the final width of the sheet you want (the mold width is usually slightly larger than the finished product width due to shrinkage). For example, if you want a sheet with a width of 1300mm, the mold width may be around 1350mm.
• Auxiliary Equipment: The production line also requires a feeder, a shaping table, a cooling water tank, a tractor and a cutting saw.
• Automation Level: You can choose a semi-automatic production line (with manual handling and stacking) to save initial investment, or a fully automatic line (equipped with an automatic stacker) to improve efficiency.
3. Raw Material Selection
• New Polypropylene (PP): Sheets produced from new PP have bright colors, an attractive appearance and good toughness, but the cost is relatively high.
• Recycled Material: Strongly recommended! For tree protection applications where the requirements for appearance and mechanical properties are not extreme, using a high proportion of recycled PP is the key to cost control. With a good formula, more than 70% of recycled material can be used while still producing fully qualified products.
• Formula: An appropriate amount of calcium powder (calcium carbonate) needs to be added to enhance the rigidity of the sheet and reduce costs; at the same time, stabilizers, color masters, etc., also need to be added.
4. Purchasing Suggestions for Hollow Sheet Production Line
Conduct an on-site inspection of the supplier's factory to check the processing equipment and assembly technology. Prepare the raw materials yourself or provide the raw material requirements to the manufacturer and request a test run to observe the sheet production effect and speed.
