PVC Foamed Plastic Wallpaper

Plastic wallpaper is also called plastic wallpaper. Generally, paper is used as the base material, and the surface is coated with plastic. It can be made into various patterns, patterns or inner decorative materials with certain functions through printing, embossing, foaming and other processes.
Plastic wallpaper has a variety of patterns, colorful colors and a wide range of varieties. From the appearance, various texture patterns can be imitated, such as wood grain, stone grain, hemp grain, cloth grain, brocade, red, imitation bark, etc. Pattern and imitation metal film surface, etc., can achieve the effect of fake and real. Its shortcomings are that ordinary wallpaper is prone to damp and mildew, and it is prone to yellowing after a long time of use.
There are three types of plastic wallpaper, namely ordinary plastic wallpaper, foamed plastic wallpaper, and special decorative functional wallpaper. The surface layer resin is mainly polyvinyl chloride, but also polyethylene, polystyrene and polyurethane. The common types of PVC foamed plastic wallpaper include high and low foam printing wallpaper, high and low foam printing embossed wallpaper and bottom printing embossed foam wallpaper.
There are many types of wallpapers currently available on the market, but their specifications are divided by width and length, which are generally divided into three specifications.
      (1) The narrow width is 53~60cm, and the length of each roll is 10~20m.
      (2) The medium width is 76~90cm, and the length of each roll is 25~50m.
      (3) Width 92~120cm, each roll is 50m long
For medium and wide specifications, the construction is generally carried out by professional construction personnel, because the width of the door is relatively wide, so vertical joints are not suitable. Narrow wallpaper can be constructed by one person, which is convenient, flexible and suitable for civil use.
       2. Raw materials
The raw materials of vinyl chloride foamed plastic wallpaper include resin, additives and paper base.

     (1) Polyvinyl chloride resin produced by the suspension method by resin calendering method. Paste polyvinyl chloride resin produced by the emulsion method by coating method.

     (2) Additives Polyvinyl chloride resin additives mainly include stabilizers, plasticizers, emollients, fillers, pigments and foaming agents.
① Commonly used stabilizers include lead salt stabilizers, metal soap stabilizers, and organotin stabilizers, among which lead salt stabilizers are the most commonly used. The dosage is generally 2% to 5% of the resin
②Plasticizers are a kind of high boiling point, low volatile organic compounds, they can dissolve PVC at high temperature to make the product soft. Therefore, the plasticizer must first be compatible with PVC, while having low volatility and mobility. Commonly used plasticizers are phthalate esters, epoxy compounds and so on. The general addition amount is more than 40 parts.
③The most commonly used lubricant is stearic acid, and the added amount is 0.2% to 1% of the resin.
④ Commonly used fillers are calcium carbonate and talc.
⑤Azodicarbonamide is the most commonly used foaming agent (commonly known as AC foaming agent)
     (3) Paper base The paper base requirements for polyvinyl chloride foamed plastic wallpaper are that in addition to general strength and folding resistance, it should also have the following properties.
①Because the wallpaper needs to be processed at a high temperature of about 200°C during the processing, the paper base must have a certain degree of heat resistance, and it will not yellow or become brittle after high temperature processing.
②The surface will not curl after being glued, so that it can be easily pasted and constructed.
     ③Has high wet strength.
The basis weight of the paper is generally 80~100g/m2, and the thickness is 0.12~0.15mm
