Acrylonitrile-butadiene-styrene copolymer foam
Acrylonitrile-butadiene styrene copolymer resin can be abbreviated as ABS. Its foam is made from ABS resin and processed by adding foaming agent and other additives. Compared with polystyrene foam, ABS foam has better toughness and tensile strength, and has better rigidity, hardness, resistance to deformation and bending strength than polyethylene and polyvinyl chloride foam. It can be used for structural materials. .
ABS foam plastic molding mostly uses injection molding, extrusion molding, casting molding, rotational molding and other methods. The density of injection-molded ABS foam plastic products is about 600~1000kg/m3, and the density of products produced by casting or rotomolding is 400~800kg/m3. The two-stage extruded high-foaming products are about 400kg/m23.
1. Raw materials
(1) Resin ABS resin can be synthesized by blending method, grafting method and mixing technique. The blending method is to use acrylonitrile-styrene copolymer and acrylonitrile-butene copolymer to blend into latex. The grafting method is to add propylene styrene copolymer to polybutadiene for graft polymerization. The graft blending method is to produce partially grafted and partially blended ABS resin. When selecting materials, consideration should be given to selecting materials with good fluidity, high foaming ratio, and high foam stability. The ABS produced by the blending method is the best, because its viscosity is moderate, which is conducive to the foaming process.
(2) The foaming agent ABS mainly adopts the chemical foaming method, and the decomposition temperature of the foaming agent is slightly higher than the melting point of the resin. ABS with high butadiene content requires a higher temperature of the blowing agent. Due to the good fluidity of blending ABS, foaming agents with lower decomposition temperature can be used. Commonly used foaming agents are azodicarbonamide, barium azodicarboxylate, 4,4-oxobisbenzenesulfonyl hydrazide, p-toluenesulfonyl semicarbazide and the like. The physical blowing agent mostly uses ammonia gas.
(3) Other additives, plasticizers and pigments, etc.
