CPP production process example
CPP extrusion casting film is the same as CPE extrusion casting film, mainly mastering the extrusion temperature, cooling temperature, distance between air knife and cooling roller, winding tension, surface treatment, production speed and other factors. Generally, the influence on the film properties is as follows:
(1) Processing conditions and optical properties of the film
1) The influence of processing temperature, the extrusion temperature is generally in the range of 220 to 230 ° C, the processing temperature is high, the film turbidity is lowered, the gloss is improved, and the transparency is improved.
2) When the cooling temperature rises, the turbidity of the film increases and the gloss decreases. This is also related to the temperature difference of the extrusion temperature, and the cooling efficiency of the small temperature difference is also reduced.
3) The influence of the traction speed, the traction speed increases, the turbidity of the film increases, and the gloss is lowered. This is mainly due to the poor cooling of the film.
4) The influence of the gap between the air knife and the cooling roller is generally 2.5 to 3 mm. When the gap is increased, the turbidity of the film is increased and the gloss is lowered.
(2) Effect of processing conditions on mechanical properties of the film
1) The influence of processing temperature, high processing temperature, good resin plasticization, and favorable mechanical strength improvement, but should not be too high. When too high, the resin will be decomposed. For example, when the temperature is above 290 °C, the impact strength tends to decrease.
2) The influence of the traction speed, the traction speed is increased, the longitudinal tensile strength of the product is increased, the elongation is lowered, the impact strength tends to decrease, and the longitudinal tear strength is also lowered by the longitudinal molecular orientation.
3) The influence of the cooling temperature and the increase of the cooling temperature are unfavorable for the formation of the film crystallites, so that the impact strength is lowered.
