Cellulose acetate film properties
The performance as a packaging material is as follows
(1) Dropout performance: One of the biggest features of cellulose acetate is its large flexural modulus. It has good elasticity and strong recovery. This is due to the nature of the cellulose molecular chain that constitutes the macromolecular backbone of cellulose acetate. Even at high temperatures, this important property makes it adaptable to automatic packaging machinery.
(2) Thermal properties: The cellulose acetate film has good heat resistance and low temperature resistance. At a temperature of about 140 ° C, its mechanical properties are almost unchanged, and the dimensional change is small, so that it can be packaged at high temperatures. The package is subjected to high temperature treatment, and at a relatively low temperature below zero, no brittle fracture occurs, and it can be used at low temperatures.
CTA has good heat resistance, but heat sealability is not good, and CDA with low melting point can fully satisfy the heat sealability.
(3) Gas permeability: The cellulose acetate film has a higher moisture permeability than polyethylene and polyvinylidene chloride film, and is smaller than the cellophane, which is at an intermediate value and has a permeability to other gases (oxygen, nitrogen, carbon dioxide, etc.). The high rate of over-rate is just as good as other films. It plays an important role in the packaging of fresh vegetables and fruits. Because of its moisture permeability, it rarely holds water droplets or condensed water droplets inside the film, which is extremely advantageous in maintaining the aesthetic appearance of the package.
(4) Optical properties: The cellulose acetate film has excellent light transmittance and beautiful film surface, and can be used as a photographic film. When used as a packaging material, the contents and the beautiful design pattern can be clearly seen from the outside of the package while protecting the contents. The single-sided printing can further improve the gloss effect, and it can transmit ultraviolet light of 300 nm, so the light aging resistance is excellent.
(5) Chemical properties: Cellulose acetate film is resistant to strong alkali and strong acidity, but excellent in oil resistance, grease resistance and water resistance. In addition, since it does not contain light and heat stabilizer, it can directly package food. In the United States, it is FDA-compliant. Approved by the Food and Drug Administration.
In addition, it also has excellent printing adaptability, is not easy to generate static electricity and is easy to eliminate static electricity.
