2.3.7 PVC spherical resin
PVC spherical resin is a new type of PVC special resin.
PVC spherical resin is a white spherical particle with smooth surface, high and uniform internal porosity, high apparent density, good fluidity and easy plasticization. See Table 2-78 for the quality standard of PVC spherical resin of Huludao Chemical Research Institute.
The processing performance of PVC spherical resin is better than that of suspension PVC resin. Therefore, PVC spherical resin can be processed by extrusion, injection molding and calendering. When it is used for extrusion molding products, its production extrusion rate can be increased by 15%~25%. The spherical resin is more suitable for extrusion molding of large diameter rigid pipes.

2.3.8 Medical PVC

Medical PVC granules refer to the raw materials used to make disposable infusion (blood) devices, disposable blood samplers, blood bags and other medical products.
2.3.8.1 Preparation method of medical PVC granules
(1) Formula
Reference formula for extrusion molding of blood bag and infusion (blood) catheter: 100 parts of medical grade PVC resin, 55 parts of dioctyl phthalate (DOP), 0.4 parts of zinc stearate (ZnSt), 0.2 parts of calcium stearate (CaSt), 0.2 parts of aluminum stearate (AlSt), and 4 parts of epoxy soybean oil (ESBO).
The reference formula for extrusion molding of infusion (blood) dropper: 100 parts of medical grade PVC resin, 25 parts of dioctyl phthalate (DOP), and 0.2 parts of Jingxi 8831 1.5 parts of stearic acid (HSt).
(2) Preparation method
For the manufacturing of medical PVC granules, first measure various auxiliary materials such as medical grade PVC, plasticizer and stabilizer (non-toxic additives) according to the formula requirements, and then add them into the mixer for mixing and mixing, and then add them into the extruder for mixing and plasticizing, and then extrude the melting strip from the mold and then cut the granules.
The production process sequence of medical PVC granules is: medical grade PVC metering → mixing and stirring evenly → mixing and plasticizing with extruder → granulation (product) non-toxic auxiliary agent
2.3.8.2 Medical PVC granular products and molding methods
Like suspension PVC, medical PVC granules can be processed by the processing methods and equipment of ordinary PVC (production and processing should be in strict accordance with medical hygiene requirements, and attention should be paid to avoid pollution). At present, this raw material is mainly used for extrusion molding of disposable infusion (blood) devices, disposable blood samplers, blood bags, etc.

2.3.9 Polyvinylidene chloride

Polyvinylidene chloride is a homopolymer of vinylidene chloride, abbreviated as PVDC. Due to the high softening point temperature of vinylidene chloride (VDC) homopolymer, close to its decomposition temperature, and poor compatibility with general plasticizers, it is difficult to use heating and melting method to form plastic products, so this resin has little practical value. At present, the polyvinylidene chloride (PVDC) used in molding plastic products are all copolymers of vinylidene chloride (more than 85%) and vinyl chloride or other monomers [such as vinyl acetate (VAC), acrylic ester (AN), methacrylate, etc.]. After copolymerization of vinylidene chloride and monomer, it plays a role of intramolecular plasticizer, appropriately reducing its softening point temperature and improving the compatibility with plasticizer, while the original high crystallinity of PVDC resin has not changed much. The result of copolymerization makes polyvinylidene PVC still larger.
