2.3.3 Micro suspension PVC
At present, there is no unified model and index parameter standard for micro suspension polyvinyl chloride (MSPVC) resin in China. Table 2-71 lists the brands and indicators of micro suspension PVC produced by Shanghai Chlor Alkali Chemical Co., Ltd.
2.3.3.1 Performance characteristics
The micro suspension PVC resin is white powder, and the particle size is between suspension PVC and lotion PVC, showing a single peak continuous distribution; The paste prepared with this resin has higher viscosity and poor coating performance under the action of high shear rate; The amount of emulsification in the resin is less, the thermal stability, degassing property, water absorption and adhesion to metal of the plastic are better, and the molded products are transparent.
2.3.3.2 Forming method and use
Micro suspension PVC resin is generally mixed with lotion PVC resin, and its mixed paste is used for spraying and high-speed coating products; If this resin is used alone, it is more suitable to use dip coating method, low speed coating method and plastic lining method to produce products.
The paste made of micro suspension PVC resin can be used to make artificial leather, wallpaper, foam floor, wire and cable insulation sheath, toys, etc., or used as paint, adhesive and sealing material.


2.3.4 Bulk PVC

Bulk polyvinyl chloride (MPVC) can also be called polyvinyl chloride just like the three PVC resins (suspension method, lotion method and micro suspension method). There is no national standard for bulk PVC. Table 2-73 lists the models and performance parameters of bulk PVC of Yibin Tianyuan Group Co., Ltd., which can be used for reference.
2.3.4.1 Performance characteristics
Bulk PVC is a white, non-toxic, quasi spherical, non crystalline porous powder resin. Compared with suspension PVC, the resin contains less impurities, the monomer content is less than 1x10-6, the particle size distribution is centralized, the configuration is regular, the porosity is high and uniform, the amount of plastic adsorbent is large and the speed is fast, and the mixed resin and dry resin powder sample are easy to store and transport; If the resin is not added with plasticizer, it is also easier to process; The transparency, thermal stability and electrical insulation of the products are good. Generally, the tensile strength of the product can reach about 50MPa, the elongation at break is 70%, and the Shore hardness is D83.
2.3.4.2 Forming method and use
Like suspension PVC resin, bulk PVC resin can be used to form a variety of plastic products by extrusion injection molding, compression molding, calendering, blow molding and other processing methods. The resin molded plastic products include pressure pipes, drain pipes, floors, monofilaments, artificial leather, films, coatings and various injection, blow molding and molded products, especially for electrical insulation materials and transparent products, such as wires and cables, beverage bottles and transparent sheets for packaging.
2.3.4.3 Key points of forming process

(1) Process characteristics
The bulk PVC is more suitable for injection molding products than the suspension PVC. Because the plasticizing property of this resin and the fluidity of the melt are better, compared with the suspension PVC resin with the same K value, the processing time of the bulk PVC is shorter, and the processing temperature can also be slightly lower. Therefore, the processing speed can be appropriately increased under the condition of adding a small amount of ethylene tree lubricant.
(2) Precautions in application
The content of vinyl chloride monomer (VCM) in bulk polyvinyl chloride resin is less than 10-6, non-toxic, but because this resin powder is extremely fine, the powder flies during application, storage and packaging, and is easily absorbed into the lungs, therefore, dust prevention measures should be taken during operation, and workers should wear dust masks.
