2.2 Polypropylene
Polypropylene is one of the important thermoplastics in polyolefin plastics. It is a high molecular weight polymer of propylene, composed of C and H elements. The abbreviation code of polypropylene is the English letter PP. The designation and model of polypropylene and propylene copolymer materials are in accordance with the national standard GB/T2546-88. The name and model are composed of the abbreviation code of polypropylene, the type of polymer, the main use index, the melt flow rate and other characteristics of the material. The specific naming form is as follows.
Unit 1: Polypropylene resin code and polymer type. PP is polypropylene, H represents propylene homopolymer, B represents propylene block copolymer, R represents propylene random copolymer, and Q represents blends of various polymers.
Unit 2: Main uses and processing methods of materials, in which C represents calendering, F represents extruded flat film and sheet, H represents coating, and I represents blown film. See Table 2-35 for other codes.
Unit 3: See Table 2-36~Table 2-38 for the nominal values of polymer isotactic index, melt flow rate and their testing regulations.

Unit 4: See Table 2-39 and Table 2-40 for fillers, reinforcements and their nominal contents.

Unit 5: In order to explain the problem in detail, this module can be added as a supplement and separated by hyphens (-).

Application description of unit marking: in the brand, the type of polymer is marked behind PP according to the code in Unit 1, with a word in the middle; F represents extruded flat film (see Table 2-35); The granular material is not marked because of its natural color; When the value of equal gauge index is greater than 90, it shall not be marked; The melt flow rate value is 0.9g/10min, the code is 012 (see Table 2-38), the test condition is 230 ℃, and the code is M (see Table 2-37) for 2.16kg, which can be omitted in the brand. Unit marking example 2: a kind of propylene homopolymer H (code in Unit 1) material filled with KD40 (see Table 2-39 for calcium carbonate code K, powder code D, and content 40% code 40) with 40% calcium carbonate powder, which is granular, colored C (color code in Table 2-35), anti-static property Z (anti-static code in Table 2-35), extruded sheet E (Table 2-35), and not marked when the isotactic index value of basic polymer is 96 or more than 90 (Table 2-36), The melt flow rate is 2.5g/10min (code 022 in Table 2-38), and the test conditions are 230 ℃ and 2.16kg (M in Table 2-37). Then the resin grade is PP H-E ZC-022-KD40.

Polypropylene resin is one of the fastest growing plastic varieties. Due to its convenient source of raw materials, relatively cheap price, excellent performance and wide use, the application of polypropylene is growing at a rate of about 10% every year. Due to different types of catalysts used in propylene polymerization, the molecular structure of polypropylene produced will be different. Press CH; Due to different arrangement modes (including disordered arrangement and ordered arrangement), polypropylene forms three different three-dimensional structures: isotactic polypropylene (IPP), syndiotactic polypropylene (SPP) and random polypropylene (APP). Among the three types of polypropylene, isotactic polypropylene is currently the most widely used, accounting for about 95% of the total polypropylene output.
