PVC wire and cable - cable compound
PVC wires and cables refer to the raw materials composed of PVC resin as the main raw material, plasticizer, stabilizer, filler, lubricant and other auxiliary materials in a certain proportion, which are used as the insulation layer and sheath layer of wires and cables. This kind of plastic has good electrical insulation property and molding processability. It also has flame retardant, heat resistant, aging resistant, oil resistant, corona resistant, chemical resistant and good water resistant properties. At the same time, it also has certain mechanical strength. Therefore, it is widely used in power transmission, communication, distribution of electric energy lighting, power machinery and control signals.
The plastic wire and cable structure is mainly made of copper, aluminum wire and other metal wires as the wire core, and a layer of plastic is wrapped outside as the insulating sheath by extrusion method.

The plastics used as the insulation and sheath layer of wires and cables mainly include PVC cable materials, polyethylene cable materials and polypropylene cable materials. PVC cable material has high voltage withstand and insulation resistance, but its dielectric constant and dielectric loss are relatively large. Generally, PVC cable materials are mostly used as insulation materials for wires and cables of 1000V or below and communication cables in the office.

(1) Routing and equipment
① Cable material production process route There are several ways of cable material forming process route. The following three production process routes are commonly used.
a. Mixing open mill, mixing flake, pelletizer and pelletizer.
b. The materials for cable molding shall be measured according to the formula requirements → mixed raw materials → mixed in internal mixer → mixed into tablets in open mill → pelletized by pelletizer
c. The materials for cable molding shall be measured according to the formula → high-speed mixing → cooling → extruder mixing into tablets → pelletizer pelleting
② The mixing method of raw materials for cable forming of main equipment is the same as that of raw materials for other PVC products, which is described in Chapter 4. The main application equipment includes grinders, high-speed mixers or kneaders, internal mixers, open mixers, pelletizers and extruders.
When a single screw extruder is used for the production of cable materials, the screw structure is an equidistant and unequal depth gradual type, with a L/D ratio of (15~18): 1 and a compression ratio of 3:1.
(2) Raw material selection
PVC cable material is made of suspension PVCSG2 resin as the main raw material, and a certain proportion of plasticizer, stabilizer and other auxiliary materials are added to form the formula. See Table 4-9 for the formula of PVC cable materials for different purposes.
(3) Process temperature
The process temperature of the barrel when PVC cable extruder mixes plasticized raw materials: 130~140 ℃ for the feeding section, 135~145 ℃ for the plasticizing section, 140~150 ℃ for the homogenizing section, and 150~165 ℃ for the molding die. 10112 PVC wire and cable
PVC wire and cable are made of PVC cable material, which is plasticized by an extruder and coated with conductive core material (copper wire or aluminum wire). The extrusion line is shown in Figure 10-14.
